• Crochet hook suitable for the yarn of your choice;
• Toy stuffing;
• A pair of safety eyes (optional);

ABBREVIATIONS
MR — magic ring;
ch — chain;
st — stitch;
sl-st — slip stitch;
sc — single crochet;
HDC — half double crochet;
inc — increase;
dec — decrease;
[…] x n — repeat n times;
(…) — number of stitches in the round.
All the pieces are worked in a spiral. It’s quite traditional to leave a long yarn tail for sewing at the end of making every part of the toy. But yours truly is not good at sewing at all, and therefore prefers to divide the yarn into strands and use them along with a thin sewing needle, so the stitches look more neat. Please do what’s more comfortable for you.

ASSEMBLY AND FINISHING TOUCHES
• Stuff the body and sew it to the head (straight or at a slight angle). The more prominent part of the body is supposed to be in the front.
• Stuff the legs, sew them onto the body parallel to its vertical axis (as shown on the 1st photo) or perpendicular to it if you want the toy seated (as the one in the 2nd photo).
• Stuff the lower parts of the hands lightly, make 3 stiches on each one using embroidery floss of contrasting color to mark the fingers. Sew the hands onto the body between rounds 33 and 34.
• Don’t forget about the tail! Stuff it if you can and sew it to the butt between rounds 13 and 15.
• Sew the ears to the head approx. between r. 26 and 27.
• Sew the eye patches to the face, embroider the eyes or glue the safety eyes. • Embroider the nose and the mouth. • Decorate the toy using yarn scraps to give it more character.
