Stuff the head with filling, paying special attention to the cheeks.

Leave a long tail for sewing. Fasten off.

BODY – Cute Snake:

1: 6 sc in MR;

3: 8 sc;

4: (3 sc, 1 inc) x 2 (10 stitches);

7: (4 sc, 1 inc) x 2 (12 stitches);

8-10: 12 sc (3 rounds);

11: (5 sc, 1 inc) x 2 (14 stitches)

Stuff the body with filling as you crochet. If your snake has a wire frame, you can insert it now. I used wire approximately 40-45 cm long.

12-14: 14 sc (3 rounds);

15: (6 sc, 1 inc) x 2 (16 stitches);

16-18: 16 sc (3 rounds);

19: (7 sc, 1 inc) x 2 (18 stitches);

20-23: 18 sc (4 rounds);

24: (8 sc, 1 inc) x 2 (20 stitches);

25-30: 20 sc (6 rounds);

31: (9 sc, 1 inc) x 2 (22 stitches)

Continue crocheting the body without changes until it reaches your desired length (mine turned out like this):

32-141: 22 sc (110 rounds);

142: (10 sc, 1 inc) x 2 (24 stitches)

143-144: 24 sc (2 rounds)

Finish off with 1 sl st. Leave a long tail for sewing the head to the body. Fasten off. Add more filling.

Leave approximately 6 cm of wire (for attaching the head). Trim the remaining wire.

BOW (crochet in turning rows):

1: ch 57;

2: from the second ch from the hook, 56 sc;

3-9: 1 ch, in the back loop only, 56 sc (7 rows)

Sew the edges together to form a bow. Crochet a chain and wrap it around the center of the bow.

ASSEMBLY – Cute Snake:

Sew the snout to the head between rounds 20 and 30, stuffing it tightly.

Sew the head to the body.

Do eye sculpting (I have shown below on one eye where to insert and withdraw the needle). Repeat for the other eye.

Embroider the whites, eyelids (arrows), and nostrils. You can also embroider cheeks. Cut some yarn about 10 cm long, form a tail and attach it to the head. Wrap the tail with yarn matching the bow color. Fluff it with a brush. Trim it to the desired length.

Sew on the bow.

You can also make a lower lip (as shown in my photo above). In MR, crochet 1 sc, 1 hdc, 6 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc. Sew the lip where the head is attached to the body.

Embroider hearts randomly on the body.
